Assemble the Monster by Evol Intent. I don't listen to a lot of DNB but I prefer Assemble the Monster over Hold Your Colour. I think DNB lends itself to a darker sound.

Personally, I'd say Endangered Species is a bit better than Driving Insane. Arrakis is a massive track with a good intro, but it doesn't beat Crash Bunny, tbh.

I kinda know that feel. The shit I listen to is so minimal it's barely even DnB anymore, though it evolved from it.

I can still listen to DnB fine but it's kinda lost its magic I feel. Tech and neuro stuff can't really keep my interest anymore, besides maybe BSE. The old Goodlooking stuff is still as good as ever though.

But I look back at me listening to the Neosignal stuff in 2012 and I listen to that shit now and it's just really noisy, loud synth drums and bass with no direction or melody to it.

Lights & Wires may be the least good of BSE's albums but it's got the best mix.

I was big into Fanu sometime, haven't really liked much of his late work though. But yeah other than that most fun stuff seems to be steering towards jazzy breaks (ninjatune) or straight up breakcore these days..

still have a boner for the mid 00's stuff that was categorized under trance & darkstep though. Genuinely think Current Value has been the only one even trying to push things forward this century, shame he dropped off like everyone else. Or maybe i'm just talking shit but he's the only one that seems relevant and thoroughly listenable in retrospect for me.
