>>55719649Nice conversation. If you want to love life again read The First Man. It's basically his ode to the beauty of the world.

im a lover of Camus' work.i'd recommend Agalloch and Heretoir. Agalloch is a bit more pagan in theme, but totally talking about existenitialism. Also Lantlos (pic) and most french blackmeta/shoegaze.In non metal its more uncommon but conscious hip hop artists like Kno tend to bring up the concept.
>>55719847yeshis argument for not killing himself was that it would be giving in to the meaninglessness of life, which makes no fucking sense. everyone should kill themselvesi dont because i wanna try and make a comfortable living before i do it. that and i dont want to upset my family, who wouldnt understand

OK Computer is hella existential. Especially Let Down.
>>55719857Yeah if you want to feel good read The First Man. It IS an unfinished novel, though. If I remember rightly some excerpts of it were found in the car Camus died in (yeesh). Otherwise The Fall is a brilliant little novel. One of the few books that I've read again straight after finishing it.
I want to say anything by Modest Mouse. I feel this is very much his overall arcing theme just in general and particularly why I love the music.
>>55719609>entry level teen philosophers Listen to deathspell omega, lyrics influenced by Hegel and Georges Bataille
>>55720079Lol. Okay then. If I'm going to listen to stupid obscure black metal I guess Sol Niger Within. Stupid teen bullshit.

>>55719609Basically all of Titus Andronicus' work.
>>55719609The last track of this album reframes the previous tracks in an existential way. The album isn't gloomy or really a concept album though.
>>55719609>Camus>Existitentialist>pleb philosopher anyways
>>55721980Absurdism is existentialism whether Camus and Sartre had a bad breakup and never want to see each other again or not.
