I own a pair of these, though these could be very durable and get the job done, I still find the frequency range quite lackluster, specially on the lower spectrum. Although if you wanna go for the " best bang for the buck " I'd definitely recommend these.

Headphones are all over the place, I love my HD558's to death but they're not portable. Honestly, I might get flak for this, but if you want real good headphone advice I would suggest the /r/headphones subreddit. There are daily threads for questions there that are legitimately helpful and people give good advice, sans memes and shitposting (for the most part).

I got my 60 (first model) used off ebay for i think $45?
I dont care for my m50s, the only reason why i'd pick them over grados are if the leakage is disruptive or if my neighbor is mowing the lawn or something. i believe this is most of the reason why it's so reccomended.

seriously though, if i can hop in the headphone advice thread, i'm thinking about getting sennheisers once i've saved up enough, and i'm pretty firmly stuck between getting the hd 558s and the 598s. which is better? the 558s are cheaper, and the 598s have the different colors, which sometimes i think looks great and other times i think looks god awful, but from what i've heard they're pretty much equal in terms of actual quality

Y50s ain't great buddy. Even the cheapo momentum on ears are better. And if you're spending real money on portables you might as well spend the 120 on refurb amperiors. The portapro does suck though, I'd take an s400/500 in that price range any day.
