What are some good songs to listen to when you're depressed, /mu/? I've just been floating for a good while now, finding neither interest nor enjoyment in things and suddenly I've been drawn to listening to music. So now rather than lying in bed doing fuck-all, I'm at least doing it to some music... which is something new I suppose. And now I'm fucking clinging on to this: the only thing I've found myself somewhat interested in

Pic related, I've listened to it quite a few times, and its overall--I dunno--"feeling" sort of meshes well with my mood as of late.

I'm not necessarily looking for depressing music per se; I'm looking for something that someone with severe clinical depression might be okay with listening to. I am open to a lot tbh; I'll give whatever a shot. Listening to The xx's first album right now.

Joy Division are the first band I think of when I hear "depressing music". Especially this album.

No probs, not sure how you feel about classical and jazz but when I was deeply depressed i found it rather intellectually releasing as well as emotional.

The first one was play, but the vocals destroyed any potential it had.
The second one had a basic pop punk structure with folk instrumentals.
I stand by my opinion anon.
You seem top favor more punk oriented stuff though.
