It's derivative.Nothing surprising, just her break-up album--which is childish. Something for tweens to listen to, who romanticize over Twilight.
>>55556834Great album
>>55557099How does it feel to be a contrarian? Do you go out of your way to hate anything popular or exaggerate your hate for it?I bet you're that guy who finally gets the aux cord and plays harsh noise and gets pissed when no one wants to listen to it.
>>55557120<<<hug box>>>
>>55556834I think it's intrinsically and subtly related to Death Grips' NO LOV∑ D∑∑P W∏B. The cover, on both the digital and physical formats has this fleshy looking pink indenture in Björk Guðmundsdóttir's chest. This is comparable to the lyrics in the first stanza of 'Artificial Death in the West':Wet hair on her neck, breatheShe shoot pussy through your chest, you dieFurthermore, NO LOV∑ D∑∑P W∏B recounts the eradication of self in confronting a new digital age of media and self-expression. Guðmundsdóttir does the same by highlighting the collapse of her relationship with the American artist Matthew Barney.
>>55557099>It's derivativeHow?
>>5555717511/10I love this post.
>>55557184He's going to answer with some opinionated garbage that won't defend his point. He hates it because it's a popular release. It's derivative to him because his friends have probably heard of her.
>>55557214<<<hug box>>>
>>55557214Guess you're right.Also, how is a break-up album childish?
Vespertine > Homogenic > Vulnicura > Biophillia > Post > Debut > Medúlla > Volta
>>55557265>medulla this lowThe fuck is wrong with you m8the order is objectively Vespertine = Vulnicura > Post = Medulla > Homogenic > Debut >>>>>>>>>Biophillia = volta
>>55557315Interesting, you like post more than homogenic?Whys that?
>>55557265>Medúlla that lowPost >= Homogenic > Vespertine > Selmasongs > Debut = Medúlla = Vulnicura >> Biophilia >= Drawing Restraint 9 > Volta
>>55557265>medulla that lowhow does one man have this awful of taste?
>>55557315holy fuck 10/10 order. I find Vulnicura best when listened to as part to of Vespertine has anyone else done that?
>>55557230>>55557167>>55557099>meme opinions>meme responses>lol break up album, literally for kids>twilight Xddd>i'm so culturally enriched cuz i know wurds like derivative
I guess the hugbox isn't foolproof.
>>55557349I'm >>55557354 but the think i like the most abut Post is how varied each of the songs in the album were and yet synergized perfectly with each other, like Björk has stated, it's like a "celebration of life".They're both 10/10's however. Also, have you noticed every mention of Björk in a thread ends up with album rankings?
>>55557349Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful album, but it felt too into it's comfort zone. Felt very same-y through the whole thing. While some people prefer that, I like at least a little bit of stylistic fluctuation through an album. It's the same kinda glitchy drum beats with the same formula for instrumentation through the entire album.Post has elements of alternative, ambient, trip-hop, pop, etc thrown in it. It has a collection of very well thought out instrumentals that are excellently produced, the only thing that I don't like about it is the fluctuation of emotions throughout.
>>55557354agreed post is the best
Homogenic > all the restHer performance in Dancer in the Dark was pretty good, too. (better than the music)
What do y'all think of Telegram? rarely see it mentioned
>>55557560GOAT remix album.A lot better than bastards.
>>55557537>those fucking musical numbers
