I'm still mixed on this album. What does /mu/ think?

str8 up trash. Pretty much proves that the talent in Radiohead lies elsewhere

Still just decent imo. Listened to it once this year and a handful of times last.

Was listening to some tracks yesterday

Actually pretty good. But more if youre into Amnesiac and/or are a devoted Radiohead fan.

Doesnt have that great emotional edge really that Radiohead is usually good at delivering but still has a cool atmosphere. I like the Amnesiac b sides and such so its an interesting listen.

Nose Grows some is probably the closest we'll get to a second Motion Pic soundtrack. Obviously not as good but a cool organ track.

I feel the drum machines werent needed a lot of the time and took away from some of the tracks though.

Thom cant do IDM thaaat well. He would make a better acoustic album for example.

He needs to realise his falsetto/vocal range is his top asset and he could try being weirder with his electronic sounds

Still stuck in rockist mindset with decent electronic influences.

As expected, first track starts off as a literal ae rip off. This time, C/pach i believe

most he'll ever accomplish is some indie butt-techno albums anyway

I wasn't super impressed, but I still enjoyed a handful of songs. I was hoping it wouldn't be so electronic. Also it was neat to buy it via torrents when it was released, but not really sure how that worked out for him.

tbh I just ignore the first track... Its a Modeselektor copy, would fit better as a Modeselektor song featuring Thom

that was about the only track i even cared about though
the 3 panned bass hits are quite something, actually, but it got quite boring fast.
the extra track released afterwards with this soft 130hz drum hit was lush too, actually, especially on my poor set of headphones.

So he just exceeds at the rhytmic bits, atleast that fun all i get out of his music. the fuzzy pseudo-glitchy business been done to death in countless better ways anyway

havent heard modeselektor though. his memes left a bad taste. though it certainly is an ae copy instead :)

Better than anything Radiohead has done, sounds like "Can I be the IDM club now??? Vol. 3"

GUESS AGAIN!
