>i think you're crazy>maybediscuss why this album is/isn't overrated
>>55535878I like it better than OK Computer, even though No Surprises is GOAT
>>55535878it's gorgeous, unique, influential, uncompromising, nuanced, textured, soothing at times and jarring at others. it's an incredible piece of work
>>55535902Stop writing like a journalist and talk about the music
amnesiac > kid a
>>55535913i am a music journalist though :(
>>55535926Nah
>>55535927No melonhead ur not a journalist
>>55535962right in the feels.
>>55535893No surprises is one of the weakest tracks on OKC.
The only album of theirs i listen to anymore, its okay
>>55535885this is the ugliest picture i have ever looked at
>>55536389it's the song version of quiet desperation how do you not love it
Probably their darkest and most divisive album. Hard for me to call it overrated, but How to Disappear Completely has put mine and other people's depression into perspective which is great. I'd call it my favorite Radiohead album.
So many moments of genius on it>jazz traffic jam at end of national anthem>Thom breaking through the disharmony in HTDC>that extra musical bit at the end of optimistic
>Get into Radiohead in highschool>Parents are having issues.>Mother is drunk and steals Kid A record, plays it on the turn table for my father when he comes home.>Specifically HTDC>I snatch it up and disappear upstairs, leaving the tears and shouts and bullshit.>tfw trying to ensure the album isn't about my parents' divorce>tfw every time I hear that scratch in the record it's all about my parents divorce
>>55537678thats so strange. thats real shitty, my nigga.
>>55535926Look at this contrarian
>>55538198nah ee b right
The only Radiohead album I give a fuck about, and it's one of my favourite albums ever.
>>55537678i'm sorry man, divorce is a really horrible thing for a child to go through
>>55535885
10/10 album and I rarely throw 10/10s around
