Anyone got any fun industrial music like this?
I tried listening to neofolk, and I liked Current 93 and Sol Invictus a lot, but the vocals on almost every other neofolk act sounds too cheesy for me. I get they're trying to go for a certain theme, but it puts me way too off.

Anyways please respond, more like this.

>that corny industrial sound
no no that's what I'm trying to avoid
more instrumental, slightly less overuse of that progression I always hear

Try out Laibach I guess

there is this whole brand of industrial called EBM (electronic body music, "danceable" industrial) so you might want to check out, but I haven't dig much into it so I couldn't give much recs

Also maybe Von Thronstahl if you're looking for neofolk/martial industrial that's more industrial yet not totally industrial

Sol Invictus are like as cheesy as neofolk gets...

The two most mainstream and critically accepted acts that have dabbled in neofolk are Swans and Dead Can Dance. Neither of them have anything particularly uncool or initially offputting in their repertoire, but you most likely already know them. Try out ROME. Listen to the track Swords to Rust, Hearts to Dust and tell me what you think.

Have you heard Laibach?

They were fucking hysterically fun:

especially their covers:

Despite their obvious tongue in cheek facist schtick they made great music, especially their early stuff. But Opus Dei is the place to start, a great underrated industrial classic
