Holy shit. So this is the kind of degenerate scum that goes to DG shows.

>> No.55500471

"The kid will be totally safe in a club filled with intense energy and emotion, listening to the songs that he has grown to love for the past couple years. All this from an amazing group of artists that he truly adores --who he may otherwise never have the chance to see again in his lifetime. This is what I want him to experience. I want him to get that spark, and fall in love with live music. I want him to feel the weight of that bass in his chest and see Ride, Andy and Zach on stage doing their thing. I want him to see the other fans (and his Dad) physically express themselves on the floor while all being one with the band, and know that he too can do the same when he's ready. I want him to know that he can pick up some sticks, load up some Ableton, or grab a mic and create something amazing from his own guts.
And yes, the kid does play CoD --Zombie mode, and he fucking loves it. Minecraft too. He also loves YouTube videos that show how Special FX Zombie make-up is applied. He gets it --he has no fear. He hates Mountain Dew, and has never seen Die Hard --but he likes Daredevil and Goosebumps. He also gets down with Curious George, PowerPuff Girls, Sid the Science Kid, My Little Pony, and Stampy Longhead. Never had any behavioral issues with him --nightmares, intense fear --nothing. He loves and cares for his animals and is very outgoing, giving, and helpful to other kids his age. Friends and family are convinced he has "been on this earth before". I don't know how I feel about that, but he is not your average 4yo by a long shot."

Unless this guy exposes the kid to loud thumping bass regularly, which it sounds like he doesn't since he wants him to "experience it", he's probably gonna be scared shitless at how loud the music will be and getting throw around in the crowd. I honestly feel pretty bad for the kid.

>> No.55501337

I can't even count how many pun shows I've been to over the years with small children present. Shows with far more aggressive pits and much drunker violence prone fans than the average DG fan.

Not once have I ever seen any harm come to anyone of those kids - sometimes I've seen kids sit on the side of the stage next to the speakers or just stand way in back during the actual music - no one, least of all the kid has any desire to have the kid up front center where people are crushing each other and slam dancing.

You want talk about a more fucked up thing to do to a kid? My friends hippie parents took us to a reggae show when we were like 11 (on a school night, no less) and both of us basically passed out before the headliner (Burning Spear, I think) on account of the huge fog of weed smoke.

If the kid gets in he can't even concentrate on one thing for that long. He wants to do something else after the first 10 minutes and then he needs to go pee-wee and daddy has to help him in the toilet. Then comes the "i'm booooooored can we leave can we go to mcdonalds dad pweeeease dad?"
If his ears don't explode during the first song that is. Kids are not good with loud noises

"They do fine" They're not objects you fucking creep. It's not JUST about the physical aspect. There are going to be people hammered around him all night.. Isn't this some kind of child abuse. The material that death grips plays, in subject matter alone, let alone volume, vocabulary, the scene of people there, is in no way suitable for a four year old. This kid is going to get so fucked up because of this dad.
