I think this can be considered "the shape of hip hop to come". Keep in mind it isnt my favorite of theirs, far from it, but its their first album. I feel like they popularized the genre of "punk-hop"/"noise-rap"

This trend is starting to get bigger and bigger, not only are smaller bands getting more recognition for doing the same kind of music, but some newcomers are obviously heavily influenced by it. Even a couple of mainstream artists have tried to incorporate elements of noise-rap into their music as a result of how popular it has been made by these guys
