ITT: We discuss the greatest rock album of all time
Not even the best Zeppelin album(pro tip: it's III)
>>55415370>>55415362B...b...but that isn't Physical Graffiti
It's definitely in my top 5. Not a bad moment on it.
But Houses of the Holy and Physical Graffiti are better.
I know it sounds like im 12 years old and what is this, but if I had to pick the most epic band of all time, it'd be Led Zeppelin. It's not cheesey for me, and I feel bad for people who think it is.
>>55415414Feels good to be born in the right generation, amirite
>>55415370>>55415380II is their heaviest album and really had a much bigger impact on rock music than III or physical graffitti did. II is more raw and just embodies the band at their best IMO.
>>55415446Please don't drag Sufjan and MF DOOM into this.
>>55415449It's their heaviest, but what was heavy in '69 isn't heavy anymore. The riff to Whole Lotta Love in particular sounds so weak to me, and just drags on and on. III is my favorite because it's not trying to be heavy for the most part, and thus is not held back by riffs that don't hold up very well today.
>>55415527You're really going to say Whole Lotta Love just drags on and on?That psychedelic part in the middle is god tier, probably the best moment on the album.
>>55415527Who cares if it's not heavy compared to meme garbage of today? II has the perfect level of grime and sludge without sounding over the top.
ITT: Dadrockers and wrong generationers.
>>554156162/10
>>55415603When the focus of the song is supposed to be based on powerful riffs, and the riffs aren't powerful, you've got a problem. I'm being a little too harsh on the album though: these criticisms are mainly just toward Whole Lotta Love, which I can't stand. Ramble On and What Is are among my favorite Zeppelin songs. This is all just my opinion btw :^)
Livin' Lovin' Maid is their best riff imoFuck Whole Lotta Love
5 best albums of all times:1. definitely fuckin maybe - oasis2. what's the story (morning glory) - oasis3. be here now - oasis4. just enough education to perform - stereophonics5. keep the faith - bon jovi
>>55415370III is their worst.I mean, Zep sucks, but III is the epitome of that suck.II and HotH are their only decent albums.
>>55415707hell yes
>>55415370how could you say that about an album which has 'since I've been loving you' on it?
>>55415951>no human clay
WITH A PURPLE UMBRELLA AND A FIDDY CENT HAT
>>55415446I see some good albums slumped in with some shitty company.>implying something.
>>55415362I found an old vinyl copy of this in my basement the other dayI shitted on it
Why aren't you this handsome /mu/?
>>55418570same
eeeh, I prefer the original. Whole Lotta Love was better as Hey Joe, The Lemon Song makes me cringe the fuck out, Thank You is not as pretty and wonderful as it seems on the first couple listens (and it's certainly not the better iteration of Your Time Is Gonna Come)... Plant's screams were better and had more impact on any I song than its II counterpart. Ramble On was the beginning of a questionable path for Zeppelin.II is nice to have on in the background but it doesn't stand up to scrutiny as well as the others.
>>55415362II is their worst.IV>Phys>Houses>III>I>all the others>II
