i'm currently using FL studio, i have a midi keyboard and some pads, i've never tried any other daw, is it worth changing?

Nope, not in my experience, I tried Cubase for a while but found everything about it confusing and counterintuitive.

If you run on PC I would reccomend Ableton, takes a little getting used to with the different workflow, but ultimately works as a very nice production environment.

If you've got a Mac, you might wanna look at Logic. Logic would be my weapon of choice but unfortunately I don't run a Mac at home. I've used it in various studios however, and am very familiar with it. The newly updated compressors in it sound great.

So yeah. Ableton and Logic would be the ones I'd look at.
