Hey /mu/, should I get an Audio-Technica AT-LP60 or a U-Turn Orbit for my first turntable? I basically boiled it down to these two, for the price they keep coming up as the best values on the market.

The Orbit doesn't come with a built-in preamp like the LP60 does, but goddamn if it doesn't look smooth.

Neither of them appear to have a counter weight, so neither.

This is actually pretty informative, thanks

Do not buy the LP60 under any circumstance. It doesn't have a counterweight, and will destroy your records.

The U-Turn is a pretty good TT for the price.

I said appear to. I'm not very familiar with the player itself, and from the pics it looked as if it didn't.

>> No.55178505

The LP60 isn't a great player, it doesn't have a counterweight but it's tracking force is only 3g so it's not going to destroy your records as quickly as others have said. The Uturn Orbit looks good, but I have no experience with it.
