Holy fuck. You guys are pathetic. It's really sad to see people like you look up to musicians and think it's cool as fuck to play in front of your friends and shit. It's not.

1. Being in a band is mostly playing for people that have no reaction or don't give a shit about what you are playing. I'd say maybe 20% of bands that exist actually get crowds that are really into what they are doing and even then its not every show, it's like one out of every 5 shows.

2. Stop envying/fantasizing about musicians for their talent and develop your own. Either learn to do it yourself and stop being sad everyday or if you aren't musically inclined, find what you are good at and do it at an impressive level. Not everyone was born to be a great musician, but almost everyone is good at atleast one thing.

My day job is sound engineer and acoustic consulting so I don't really do a whole lot with my music... although after a couple years of relative dormancy I'm planning an album.
