I haven't visited this site in a year or two, casually stumbled across this article and I actually thought it was really good. What do you guys think? Are they stepping up their game or is it just a gem in the rough? Is my taste trash? Who knows :^)

Resonant Frequency is a column that often focuses on experimental music and philosophical inquiry about music. I would recommend reading p4k's columns, but don't bother with "The Pitch" because they're all click bait pieces from outside writers with shit mindsets. At its heart Pitchfork is a good publication, but it is littered with shit. Only several of their review staff can write well.

I tend to not read any reviews that incorporate a numerical rating system anyway, maybe with the exception of FactMag

Mark Richardson is pretty much the only reason I still give p4k any attention. I wish being editor in chief gave him more reign over what they post. The pitchfork podcast, which is also done by him, is worth checking out too.
