Can anyone explain to my dumb ass if it is possible, and if it is possible explain how, to set up an embedded audio player that can play different audio tracks at the same time (synchronization is key, here) with full volume control of each track? Going for four tracks max.

You want to listen to Zaireeka, don't you Squidward.

It wouldn't surprise me if there was a plugin for foobar that allowed this, but I can't guarantee it. Otherwise you could do something like import each audio track in audacity.

I have a digital workstation, I'm trying to figure out how to take these already recorded tracks and embedded them on a website in a player that will behave like a simple workstation.

All I want is four tracks to play at the same time when the user hits play, and for the tracks to have volume control.

Perhaps I should explain further.

My goal is to have the player start with a song playing but give the user volume control over each instrument (which are isolated by different audio tracks) so they can more clearly hear an instrument or mute tracks altogether if they wish.

This can easily be achieved in any music editing program (audacity is free). But it sounds like you're asking for a browser-embedded version, which I don't know. If the embedding to a website is really important, what you could do is make a flash project with sliders - should be doable with just actionscript I believe. Depends on how well you know Flash.
