I mean, did you listen to it? Nobody's released something that sounds quite like it yet, and there was certainly nobody doing anything like this in '66 or '67. If it came out when it was supposed to it would have predated Sgt. Pepper's. Imagine that.

It either would have been a total commercial failure and gained a huge cult following, then retrospective critical acclaim (ie TVU&N) or it would have changed the face of pop in the way that people say Sgt. Pepper did.
