Maybe I'm horribly rich and out of touch, but $20 for a music streaming service doesn't sound unreasonable. It's useless when Spotify exists for cheaper, but three hours at a minimal wage job for a month of access to a ton of music seems fine.

Spotify and Youtube is the future of music. Physical releases, merchandise, concerts, etc. will always be there but they vary. If they can take over the streaming servicing they can squish the little guys out easier later on. It's an investment of their music monopolies. Similar to the radio. The big guys took it over and look what the hit songs are. Every once in a while a talented artist gets through but it's mostly the corporate assholes who are on the Top 200.
