How to into Death Grips /mu/?
| >> | No.54746924 I listen to DG a ton, and my gf is now beginning to enjoy them. The most causal album by far is The Money Store, so that should be your first listen. Government Plates is a really complex album, but if you're into electronic music you can enjoy it on a superficial level at first; expect to like it a lot more with more listens. Exmilitary is really guitar driven; besides that it's for them pretty genre-reliant. After that, listen to the EP, Live from Death Valley, and their Adult Swim single; all their really early releases have a similar sound, though the AS single was clearly recorded during TMS sessions. No Love Deep Web is really catchy, but possibly too harsh for the uninitiated. Niggas on the Moon is really out there, definitely save that for the end. I haven't listened to Jenny Death yet, but I'd say just listen to The Powers That B in one shot. I know from experience that NOTM takes a few listens, so be wary.
Or you could just listen to it in order like a normal person. |
