Japan's year-end ceremonies are not centered around groups with the most stupid fangirls but actual artists like X-Japan, Mr. Children, Smap, etc. Unfortunately, Korean year-end ceremonies are too busy catering to the groups with the most fangirls and ruining everything on TV. Japan started the idol market first but they know how to differentiate between real artists and idols. They would never do something as low as giving an idol with fangirl power a daesang like Koreans do.
