This is definitely one of top 5 experimental hip-hop albums ever. Why it ain't discussed more?

because people would rather listen to shit grips than trying to open up their palette.

Their self-titled is my favourite hip hop record ever, it's so fucking good. I like the way the vocals sorta swell alongside the instrumentals, the effect it produces is unreal. Dunno if I described that well but listening to the album you should see what I mean.

Death Grips are good too my man. cLOUDDEAD isn't discussed much because they're fairly irrelevant right now, whereas DG just put out one of the most anticipated albums for this board in a looong time.

>> No.54578823

Anyone want to recommend other sort of 'dreamy' - for lack of a better word - hip hop? Or any type of music. I love this record dearly and I haven't heard anything else like it.

Bands never become irrelevant as long as someone is listening to them. No objection on the DG tho, i really loved TPTB.

This, is there something like clouddead? Only things that comes to mind are Bones and (fuck me) Viper

I mean irrelevant in that they're inactive. If they put out a new album that had as much excitement driving it as Powers then yeah they'd be discussed a whole lot. Just addressing the one guy's 'why it ain't discussed more'.

No probs man. This memeing is killing this board tho. It makes look the bands/artists irrelevant, their music more subject of fame like pop rather than actually worthwhile work. I'm too drunk to explain it as i normally would, i'm just pissed at autists constantly spamming EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, cuck or shit. ;_;

Preaching to the choir man. I've been a fan of DG for a looong time now, and I can't possibly be taken seriously when I call them my favourite band just because of all the shit that surrounds them here.

I've listened to Ten and Why? and they're both pretty good, not quite the same I guess but still pretty good. I'll check out some other stuff though, thanks.

Listening to 'The Taste of Rain' and I'm really digging it. It has the same kind of back-and-forth vocal delivery that I really enjoy from cLOUDDEAD.

yeah, I enjoyed it almost as much as cLOUDDEAD's s/t
