Good morning. The new Action Bronson album is up, here's a download for y'all that should work.

(Can't get past the spam filter. It's on sharebeast.com, extension is "/r6anzc9j6vot"

Thoughts?

>> No.54542738

disappointing. I don't know who told dude he could sing, but he needs to concentrate on ripping bars on smoky instros. very forgettable

>very forgettable
i can tell just by the singles from this album that you're wrong

>> No.54543052

>>54542698
best songs were the singles, rest is ok

>> No.54543098

bland, mediocre, who isn't sick of his sound by now? he's got nothing to say either

>> No.54543142

i couldn't make it past the second track
if i weren't such an open minded person i wouldn't have made it past the album cover

i have never, ever dropped an album this quickly this guy shits dicks like nobodies business

>> No.54543157

damn, plebs out in full force today

at this point if you're not gonna grow as a rapper or artist at all who cares

>> No.54543289

>>54543248
his flow is a little different than it was on his early stuff

this is just a pretentious-ass way to avoid saying that you don't like it because you don't like it though, come on now.

>> No.54543307

>>54542738
That opening song definitely was weak, but it looks like he did go in about 30 seconds in. I think he can sing, look at City Boy Blues, I'm told that's him singing in it. It's not his main ability obviously. But it looks like he did some training to sound somewhat ok. I believe he currently has better singing skill than Kendrick and Kanye. I also think we should consider the context of Thug Love Story 2017.

>>54543098
Music doesn't need to say anything. It doesn't need to have a message. Nirvana sang about a Mosquito and it's one of the best songs ever made. I mean aren't most lyrics absolutely terrible? And there really are few stories to work off of. That's why we have like 100 crime/detective shows on TV. What exactly do you want to see? If there was a message, it's stop giving a fuck about what people say and do your thing. Eat cupcakes and die early if that's what you want.

And anons, it's ok to not like it. I can see why you don't, won't listen. I can see the forgettable aspect too. I personally enjoyed it. I'll be giving this a few more plays than TPAB.

>> No.54543314

>>54543289
also the production on this album is crazy so far, there was definitely nothing like this in his early stuff

>> No.54543399

Disappointed by this reception. This guy is still a rookie, and I think that at this point perfecting your style and flow to identify yourself as a unique rapper on your major label debut is more important than deviating hugely from your norm. Maybe everybody's standards are too high because his mixtapes have been so good, but I personally love this album so far. I like how varied the production is, as it draws out different styles from Bam himself and helps direct the themes. Definitely my rap aoty so far

>> No.54543555

this guy is just a walking self parody

mr fat meme lel he references such funny things xD

he was a serious rapper on things like bon appetit bitch and even blue chips but by now he's a joke

rip bam bam

>> No.54543586

>>54543289
I've been giving his tapes a chance since the first one and always come out feeling the same. I like a track every now and then and I like a bunch of his features but at this point he's just not a good artist. I don't really see any growth. I don't like his beat taste either, even when he works with good producers he gets meh beats.

>> No.54543619

as someone who doesn't really like most rap but who does like a fair bit of his older stuff I really do not like this new album at all on first listen.

>> No.54543711

>>54543586
have you ever considered that you just don't like him much? i don't get why everybody is always trying to say they dislike things because they are bad for objective reasons.
>even when he works with good producers he gets meh beats.
or maybe you're just a total irredeemable pleb

Obviously that's what I'm saying you clown. do I need to end every sentence with 'imo'?
The best he works with is probably Alchemist and even then he gets 2nd rate beats because Alch puts out like 10 albums a year. Party Supplies are way more miss than hit.

>> No.54543839

>>54543005
literally the only good tracks on the album have already released. everything else is fucking filler.

>>54543839
nope, listening right now. that is false

>> No.54543900

>>54543851
then your taste is shit m8. he recycles the same flow on every track, even when it doesn't fit the production. adds in lengthy skits/recordings for no reason but to add length like the fucking passage being a 3 minute build up to the best track on the album for god knows why. it's incredibly disappointing given the quality of the singles leading up to the release.

>> No.54543948

>>54543900
please tell us about your favourite rappers who never use the same flow on 2 songs and make every album sound completely unlike the last one lmao these are such dump-people criticisms. this is contrarian-whiner-/mu/ at its finest

Kinda surprised to hear this reaction, I didn't think his stuff with Party Supplies was that great but I loved Easy Rider and Baby Blue as singles off this.

Guess I'll keep expectations low.

>> No.54544059

he "recycles flows" too, not that that's a real criticism, just a reality of rap

I don't think I've ever heard the same flow. Except maybe on a couple tracks though.

somewhat, but the ones with classic albums don't have half the album sounding the exact same.

anything past Blue Chips I sucks dick

The worst part is all the singles are FIRE and the album does not match those 4 songs. I do like Falconry and Only in America tho.

yeah big body bes was surprisingly dope on his features

Surprising? That nigga always kills it. He needs to put out a tape by hinself or a self help series like Ghostface Killah did.

>> No.54544335

>>54544250
you couldn't really expect it to though, those songs were unrealistically good. the album is still solid as a whole and i liked the buildup to easy rider

>> No.54544351

>>54544040

how much of a fucking sperg do you have to be to not understand it's tongue in cheek

i like how you ignored all of my points, though. have fun listening to music with shitty lyrics you subhuman plebeian.

>> No.54544411

>>54544335
Yes it is solid. Bronson showed he can strike gold often and I think he will only improve by the next one. The other songs arent bad but they are 7s and 6s swith a few perfect joints in there. Blue Chips 2 was great all the way through tho. But again, he did what he did best and didnt flex as much with the "experimental" stuff and interludes.
>the transition from Terry into Acting Crazy is great

i'm the idiot for not getting how your tongue in cheek stupid stands out in a sea of genuine stupid, sure lol. also

it's not like it's written in all caps and has the word "EUPHORIC" in it. i's funny, you know. people around here get called autistic all the time but you really are the most stupid and oblivious person i've ever come across-

aren't most lyrics absolutely terrible?
>aren't most lyrics absolutely terrible?
>>>/aren't most lyrics absolutely terrible?/

why do you come here? don't you have some shitty music to listen to?

>> No.54544871

>>54543052

Uh, no. Baby Blue is by far the worst thing on there.

I think it has a few great tracks, but mostly it's bland, which is something I didn't think Bronson could be.

Hopefully he'll do Blue Chips 3 with supplies after this.
