>>54546217pretty much instrumental hip hop with more experimentation or variation
>>54542514Are you singing? Are you a dude
>>54541637Sonically, this is well mixed, and obviously you have a great sense of composition. The only constructive criticism I might offer, is that your mix is so well done, that it comes across as somewhat sterile. It's really well done though, which is the only reason I say anything- I think just a few touches would send your stuff over the moon.
https://soundcloud.com/theb94>beats to listen to before its all over
>>54546332I think you might be in the early stages of making things- you have some good concepts, but it seems you haven't fully developed an ear for sonic dynamics, and your compositions aren't loose enough to be experimental or solid enough to be on point. Keep at it though, unless you've been at it for like 10 years, then stop.
https://soundcloud.com/shit-creek>Folk, Violin Drones, Landscape-inspired stuff
>>54545755It's hard for me to be objective about this style but I'll try. The vocals are good overall, but seem either overly loud or too clean. Some extra compression would help a lot. You have the style down overall, I would suggest crunching up the guitar tone a bit more though, definitely louder drums.
A electro track i've made. Style from 2003 / 2008https://soundcloud.com/venderstrooik/suzys-last-wish
>>54545432The sampling is good, the granular quality, but could definitely be more forward, either volume or eq'ing. Your production isn't really what I'd focusing on so much as finding your own voice, the melodic/harmonic quality sounds like most anyone on Brainfeeder, which isn't necessarily bad, but not the most original right now. Good stuff though.
https://soundcloud.com/samrihiphop/new-world>hiphop>old school>fire>trust me
>>54545446This is all too dry, unaffected. Bass is part of trap, but it needs to be more well rounded. Play tnght or some other well produced trap in your DAW through a spetrum, pay close attention to those below 65hz frequencies.
>>54542067This is actually some very on point noise. I've seen Wolf Eyes multiple times, and to be honest, I'd probably rather blast your soundcloud. Controlled ratio of sub bass to mid bass, squeally but not clipping high ends. I like that there are actually 'musical' qualities as well, and not just rhythmically. Like the dystopia vibes.
>>54542789Loving the variation both within the tracks and from track to track, sub bass is really well done here, can really hear the attention to detail on some of the tracks, really enjoy the way you make it all fall apart and come back together. In the face of the loudness wars, you could probably stand to turn it up a bit, but I can tell you're trying to maintain dynamics. Really awesome stuff.
>>54542747This really reminds me of Tobacco, and I don't know if it was intentional, but the whole time I kept waiting for you to unfilter the high ends, which at first I wasn't digging, but it added a stress to the track as it went on, and that sensation went unresolved. Feels a little empty, a bit 'mid' heavy maybe, might use some frequency dynamics on it. Definitely going somewhere.
>>54546650what'd you use to make this production so clean, brotato

>>54545354This is very good for your style, honestly. The only thing I might say is your lead synths could stand to be a little louder. I know when you're mixing them and listening to so intently to them they seem loud, but go ahead and crank them up some more. Low end sits well together. (Maybe less hi-hats, but that's just a preference.)

>>54557335 I disagree, I think plenty of artists that can use their tools and create something that sounds interesting and good to me, I think that still counts. Just because you can play a instrument live without sounding like shit doesn't mean you are better than a producer that can make music that's just as good. It's not like the producers aren't putting in the effort, it takes a lot of damn effort to make something great, you can usually tell a skilled producer from a beginner as well. I think the whole live vs. computer-made music argument is stale, I wish we'd all just calm down and enjoy the music, specially if its good.We either press play or we play a instrument, either way, if the audience likes it, then job well done.

>>54557532never said being a DJ is a bad thing.only that music made soley by computers is no real music to me and well...many else who are capable of playing an instrument (singing too)now lets say i hear a sweet track and define it as "sweet" =D it could be very well that that track was made completely by computer, but then i would at least try to cover it so i at least heard it once for realbesides - most people making computer-music chose the perfect timing for notes and riffs and beats and effects and shit....that way music loses its...well...how to say...fingerprint? that way its (most of the time) easy to say if a track is mady by hand or by computer, therefore sounding good but no music
>>54557532The cuck joke is tired, your music is shit, and you've been acting like a child this entire thread.Drop the faux-narcissist act, quit starting shit with people, and learn how to actually mix your music.

>>54557641i like your ending statement.and yeah, i know how much time can go into producing a track (even without the band having to learn how to play it)the 3 tracks i uploaded on soundcloud are 3 tracks which were written pretty fast (few hours with 2 people (my drummer and me))but the tracks we want to sound special, well theyre still not done. takes a shitload of time.but still, even if were done, we play them till it sounds right. and we dont stop after the song is written on the computer, because thats not even half the work, its only about quarter the work.
its crazy how im still the best musician here...>>54557641ya this guy is smart about it, but i didnt read it all>>54557643kinda, i have guitars in my song TEENAGE GUITARhttps://soundcloud.com/dj-dubbi/teenage-guitar-feat-giotex-wagg-tuff-dj-bluflaim-dj-majikk>>54557714but if u use a computer with a laptop is music compared to a guitar,if you say it isnt then you could say having to use instruments instead of JUST your voice isnt music either. maybe stop having penises in your mouth.>>54557728ur just sad because u are a cuckmy music is great, u cant front, unless you link me to YOUR music hhahahsahahahahaha.u need to learn how to get rid of your down syndrome m8y>>54557870ya i like u this is right, he was just a sad dadrocker who is mad no one likes his jimmy hendrix covers on youtube.
>>54557966>mad no one likes his jimmy hendrix covers on youtube.
>>54540244https://soundcloud.com/szymon-mackiewicz/glaskamerFirst track made using the Ableton software, that I've actually completed. Pretty much inspired by "Koyaanisqatsi" by Philip Glass and Hans Zimmer's "Interstellar" Soundtrack.
>>54557966HA HA HA LE EPIC TROLLLLL
>>54557096You can always download for free, the £2.50 is just covering the cost of the CD's and the postage really. I loose money if I'm sending them somewhere far away.
>>54557966i say that its possible that i dont always recognize a track made by computer as such one, but if i do and i like then song i try to cover it and listen to how it could shoundthe technology for making a track made by computer sound like it was played for real got, sadly, rather good.but still, for most tracks you can still tell if its real or not. not just because of the perfect timings, but also because of impossible playing-patterns.drums which would need more than 2 arms to play or riffs in which notes are so far away from each other that its physically impossible to play them in 1/16 notes at 140bpm.oh and can you also talk to people without insulting them?
What happened to this thread?
>>54557528>>54558140
>>54558212>but also because of impossible playing-patterns.so if new technology can improve music as an artform then it's a bad thing?should film be black and white still?should paint be made from berrys still?
>>54557096To be perfectly honest, I think the only bands I take seriously are the ones that make physical copies of their stuff. Whether it's demos, tapes or professionally made CDs.Musicians that make only digital versions of their stuff, it lacks that personality that solid copies have, probably just me though.
>>54558299for gods sake then invent a new instrument with which you could play your beats.oh wait...didnt i already recommend a big midi-table?whatever.if you make it yourself, congratulationsif you tell the computer what to do and then tell people "listen to it, i made that whole song myself" and the computer is the one doing all the work, not you, then you did noting except chosing a few notes, maybe filled with inbetween riffs and breakdowns. thats all. the sound was completely made by the computer. youre no musician
>>54558310youre an idiot tbh, m8
>>54558413wow you're in a lot of denail over computers.so do you not ever listen to music by bands that have a different person produce it?based on your logic this VEWWWY BAAAD
I've got some rap,Some lyrical craphttps://soundcloud.com/abstractcrap/lonely
>>54558489a different person produce it? like....someone actually standing at the analog/digital mixing table (hardware) and sending that output to the computer to digitalize it so you can burn it or to the vinyl-cutter?i do listen to music made by other people, by hand.sadly i cant afford someone to mix my shit for me since such people are rather expensive.
>>54558455And a shoplifter, a pickpocket, a coke-head and an autist. There's more really.
