Hey /mu/, I was wondering if there is any pop music similar to katy perry or taylor swift with maybe a bit more complexity or perhaps transgressive lyrical content?

Alternatively, are there any poppy acts that have a more distinctive experimental sound like The Gorillaz or Beck or even That Handsome Devil?

If there are any newer commercial pop albums you guys think are worth a listen I'd be interested in that too. I haven't listened to any pop for the most part in a long time.

No, because their art isn't immediately understandable unless you have context on why and what Die Antwoord is and South African culture. I say only watch their video because they're an audio/visual band.
