>>54476142I've met him, I'm from the same town as the band and go to school with his daughter. He is literally one of the most intelligent guys I've ever spoken to. You should check out some of the other music projects he's a part of, they're a lot different than Slipknot.

what I hate about slipknot is they take the edgy aesthetic really literally. A lot of bands will facetiously take up a really dark aesthetic to compensate for the fact that their music sounds really edgy (because otherwise they would look goofy standing their in plain clothes screaming about satan). So many bands don't do that shit seriously. Except the few slipknot songs I have listened to were seriously just about angst and being a manly tough guy and stuff like that. It really seems like depressed loner music for depressed loners that have no concept of subtlety. It's autism ala music. This is one of the reasons why I dislike slipknot.
