>Who is Dean Blunt?
Dean Blunt is an enigmatic singer-songwriter, member of the possibly defunct Hype Williams, and former collaborator of Inga Copeland. After a run of narcotized pop deconstruction under the Hype Williams moniker, Blunt and Copeland released a single record on Hyperdub records and then parted ways. Towards the end of their partnership and since its termination, Blunt has put out a steady stream of music under his own name. Known for the mystery surrounding his persona, his antagonism towards the press, and his totally unique approach to pop music, Dean Blunt is one of music's enduring mysteries.
“Let’s not start a war - it’s not enough.” - Dean Blunt

>Where do I start?
If you want to get into Dean Blunt's abstract heartbreak, I'd recommend starting with The Redeemer or The Narcissist II. The former is a melancholic R&B breakup record, and the latter is a horrifying, lo-fi glimpse into a relationship, torn apart by arguing and domestic violence
Black is Beautiful is also a good starting place if you want a more challenging listen. It's a real labyrinth of a record.
