>I think that niggas is tired of grabbin' shit out the stores and next time it’s a riot there’s gonna be bloodshed for real. I don’t think America know that. I think American think we was just playing and it’s gonna be some more playing but it ain’t gonna be no playing. It’s gonna be murder, you know what I’m saying, it’s gonna be like Nat Turner, 1831, up in this muthafucka. You know what I’m saying, it’s gonna happen
Who is "America" supposed to represent in this context?
Who are the "niggas" going to murder?
>Made me wanna go back to the city and tell the homies what I learned
>The word was respect
>Just because you wore a different gang colour than mine's
>Doesn’t mean I can’t respect you as a black man
>Forgetting all the pain and hurt we caused each other in these streets
>If I respect you, we unify and stop the enemy from killing us
Who is the enemy killing Kendrick and his "homies"?
Can someone clarify these points?
| >> | No.54403932 I think Kendrick has a future in producing tbh. The mofo composed These Walls Hood Politics, and Mortal Man. And he produced How Much A Dollar Cost and You Ain't Gotta Lie himself with Dre's software. If you had heard the full collection of beats he did with Dre for the album, you would cream. He sounds exactly like Dre did and he doesn't even realize how good he is. He just wanted full control over the album and ended up taking a lot of it in his hands. He's currently producing for Jay Rock's album but I have no clue if he's actually gonna make it on there. I have a zip folder full of beats he never put on To Pimp A Butterfly and I might end up asking him to let me use one, it's all just so fucking good. He changed his "producer" name to some stupid shit. I Am The Dragon was what it was last time I checked but I think he changed it when he realized how stupid it sounded (LoveDragon also sounds fucking stupid but I ain't gonna diss my boy and his skills on the mic and his skills on production). He also mixed a lot of the album himself and for the most part spent a lot of time with Dre, Ali, and Samson while they were mixing the album, constantly leaning over their shoulders telling them what to do. He mixed u himself, that's something I'm sure of. Most of the personal tracks, like u, Hood Politics or How Much A Dollar Cost, that truly reflect how he was feeling, had more involvement in, to the point where he barely let anyone get involved besides to clean up and produce the tracks he had composed. Eventually nothing the producers sent him ended up matching what he wanted so he got Dre to help him out. It's like how Eminem became a producer. He had this one track called Fatal Mistake about him traveling to Compton and realizing that his old gang was all either murdered or grew resentment against him, and his guilt that he was never there to save then, and it's the best fucking track I've heard from him hands down. The production was so good I can't even describe it. |

-No, you do not pass judgment because you sympathize with them A deprived childhood and a homicide really isn't necessarily a homicide, right? The only thing you can blame is circumstances Rapists and murderers may be the victims according to you, but l call them dogs and if they're lapping up their own vomit the only way to stop them is with the lash
-But dogs only obey their own nature So why shouldn't we forgive them?
-Dogs can be taught many useful things but not if we forgive them every time they obey their own nature
-l'm arrogant because l forgive people?
-My God Can't you see how condescending you are when you say that? You have this preconceived notion that nobody, listen that nobody can't possibly attain the same high ethical standards as you so you exonerate them l can not think of anything more arrogant than that You, my child... my dear child you forgive others with excuses that you would never in the world permit for yourself
-Why shouldn't l be merciful? Why?
-No, no, no You should, you should be merciful when there is time to be merciful But you must maintain your own standard You owe them that The penalty you deserve for your transgressions they deserve for their transgressions
- they are human beings
- No, no, no Does every human being need to be accountable for their actions? Of course they do But you don't even give them that chance And that is extremely arrogant l love you, l love you l love you to death. But you are the most arrogant person l have ever met |

"America" = The white establishment that continues oppressive policies and policy enforcement on minority communities.
The main tool employed by the white establishment to destroy the black community has been the war on drugs. It's only made harder by subverted racism that prevents blacks from being hired 60% more than an equally qualified white, giving all the more incentive to get involved in gangs and illegal activity out of necessity or just plain boredom.
Historically, the problem wouldn't have been as bad if urban communities weren't totally fucked by the crack epidemic, a phenomena that has been well documented as being started by the federal government (literally the crack that went through freeway rick and was supplying the epidemic was being given by the US government).
"Niggas" will murder cops, I'm assuming. Hopefully not just random white people.
The aforementioned white establishment is, and has been, creating environments filled with poverty, drugs, gang violence, and murder via aforementioned policies and the discriminatory enforcement of those policies.
Aside from that, cops are just killing black kids/men like its not, and always have been, it's just now getting attention. |

I never said that, nor did I advocate for it. I'm simply translating. I will say, though, as a black man who's had many experiences with american cops, most cops are pieces of shit, and more importantly they're the direct enforcers of the policies that are fucking over blacks.
And it makes sense that most cops are pigs. Which kid from your highschool was more likely to gravitate towards a job that lets you carry a gun and carry the full authority of the law wherever you go? The sensible, smart, judicious, kind-hearted kid, or the jughead bully who loves authority? Now who's more likely to be fine with the pay of a police officer?
Definitely the jughead bully. And given that minorities dont respect cops, you're going to be getting a lot of white cops. And that's cops. Usually, the people who would make great cops just do other things because they're overqualified. |
