So help me out here, /mu/:
What's the appeal of K-Pop? Most of my friends tell me it's the pretty girls and cakebois, though they seem like casuals, and I wouldn't hold their opinion highly when it comes to music-related topics.
What are the different types in the genre? I've heard to some of the shit they've shared with me, from EXO, Girl's Gen., EXID, to name a few, and they've sound pretty distinct from each other.
How would you rate the genre as a whole? That is, how does it compare to western music or other pop from Asia? What would you consider to be the "highs" and "lows" of the genre?
I'd appreciate it you guys can shed me some info on this, as well as point out some "introductions" or "must-hears" and where to look into to expand my K-Pop experience. Thanks, /mu/tants, didn't mean to post a fucking questionnaire, but I couldn't think of another way to present my queries. |
