One thing that bothers me about Grimes is her stupid quest for feminism. If she and other women want to be taken serious as artists they should behave like grown women and not like quirky girls with daddy issues. Meredith Graves is guilty of this too. Instead of focusing on their craft they waste their energy on writing stupid blog entries about either mindless pop culture or issues they have no deeper understandings of, making themselves look like cry babies. It doesn't help that Grimes' music is nothing but gimmicky shit. And Perfect Pussy? Boring, nothing to write home about. On the other hand you have women like Julia Holter or Grouper who get recognized for their actual music while keeping their mouths shut about so called "feminism". And that's the way it should be.
