What's /mu/'s opinion on the new purity ring album?

I just gave it a listen and it's the most underwhelming bland album I have heard this year.

Genuinely love it. Probably more than Shrines. Shrines at times felt like different versions of the same song and I don't get that feeling with another eternity. The highlights on Shrines are still the highlights of their catalog but another eternity is just more consistent. It is a lot more of a pure "pop" album though so I can see why you might not like it.

Biggest let down of the year so far for me. I loved Shrines, and it feels like they stripped out everything unique and interesting from that album (lyrics, composition) and turned it into an electronic pop album. Maybe it will grow on me. Probably not.
