I try not to talk about this album because I think it's meme status does it quite a disservice. It genuinely is a really great album but there's nothing that sets it apart from any other feelsy album from the 90's. That is, it is just as approachable, yes it is better than a lot of those albums but it's not some sort of patrician, difficult to understand albums. People need to stop treating music of other cultures like it's patrician. It's just folk music.

you're fooling yourself if you really think that. it's just some dude singing weirdly while playing accordion. it get's most of it's "patrish" cred because of it's foreignness and the fact that it's the only album with with throat singing that anyone on mu has ever listened to. if by exit level you mean very few can enjoy it, that's obviously wrong. it's a good album but it's has nothing special that only some people can "understand".
i get it tho you've listened to it and you like it and want to feel special.
