Anyways, I've used fruityloops, logic, reason and ableton. My fav by far is ableton. It's not a cluttered mess like most of the others and it offers pretty much everything. They all have their pros and cons but I think ableton comes out on top. Against its all personal preference and what ever works for you in the end.

YT has a lot of tutorials. Just play with it mang, no practicality will come from spending hours watching tutorials when you could be hands on instead. You really only need tutorials, imo, for important but boring shit like mixing, side chaining, compression.

It's funny you mention that, I wouldn't say I've been depressed up until this point in my life and I even hesitated using the D word. My current circumstances in life are just not great.

Tbh we shouldnt blog so much about ourselves here. As much as I hate "SJW"s or whatever going on about white privilege youre onto something with respect to the people who browse here.

FL is cool, but try Ableton or Logic. Ableton is really good if you ever want to use your DAW live but tbh if you're just trying to make shit FL and Logic will be just as good. I assume you'll be pirating everything but if you aren't Ableton is absurdly expensive compared to other DAWs. Also cracked/pirated versions of Ableton (or from my experience) can be glitchy/weird at times.
