Crosleys, and most cheap record players out there, lack the functions of a proper turntable. This leads to poor sound quality and potential damage to the media. These features include, but aren't limited to:

>Tonearm counterweight
>Antiskating function
>Replaceable cartridges
>Adjustable pitch control

There is a reason those old turntables are heavy, its because they have a lot in them. All that shit and functionality costs money and effects the size of the product. Almost any decent turntable is going to have some heft to it.

90% of the reason i buy vinyl is because i want to support the artists that i love and i want to have a physical copy of the artwork, the liner notes and all the extra cool stuff that comes along with the package.

I've already got a lossless rip of the album - odds are I had it from a leak before the album even dropped - but what's better is sitting down with the album and really getting to know every word, the influences of the band and even where the written lyrics differ from performed.
