I never see this album discussed /mu/. The Soft Bulletin had such a big impact on me.
It's ok OP, I like this album tooWhat's the best song on it?
Me too, anon, me too.
It's a fantastic record.Personally, I like Zareekia more or Clouds taste Metallic
>>53657690I don't know honestly. Race For The Prize is super hopeful, while Feeling Yourself Disintegrate is equally great. Maybe What is the light
>>53657782Good choices.Feel Yourself Disintegrate is actually my favorite.
>>53657690Waiting for A Superman and The Gash are the GOATs.
>>53657945I listened to the song very stoned once and it changed the way I heard the song. For whatever reason I'm now very connected to that song. I wrote in a notebook "oh shit, there's a guitar solo at the end of this??" before just staring up into the sky. What a great spring break.
>>53657645It's discussed all the time and it's also one of the FLips worst. Kill yourself you retarded cuckold faggot.
>>53657978I get very teary eyed during Waiting For A Superman especially the chorus "Is it getting heavyWell, I thought it was already as heavy as can be"
>>53657645I heard this album for the first time when i was really young and i only sorta liked it, but as I got older the lyrics started to mean more. Now its one of my top 5 favorite albums. So good
Do you guys prefer the ordering of 5.1 or the original? I go with 5.1 personally
>>53658232I've never heard the 5.1. Is there a major difference in sound? More bass, drums etc?
>>53657978The mokran remix of Superman is probably my favorite track, not a huge fan of the album mix
>>536582325.1 or bust, though the vinyl track listing is fine too.
>>53658232Both are kind of fucked up in their own waysI think it would flow best as Race For The PrizeA Spoonful Ways a TonThe Spark That BledSlow MotionWhat Is the Light? The ObserverThe Spiderbite SongWaitin' For A Superman Suddenly Everything Has ChangedFeeling Yourself Disintegrate Sleeping On the RoofBuggin' is the worst song on there I'd throw it out personally. Also, why would you ever end the album with the weakest tracks?Sleeping on the Roof is the perfect closer
>>53658232The original release has a pretty sublime track ordering. I personally don't know what the 5.1 version was thinking by following "Sleeping On the Roof" up with "The Spiderbite Song," a song which I feel demands to be dropped earlier in the album, and then concluding with "Buggin'" of all things. The original is probably the best track list there is right now.
>>53658376>the vinyl track listing is fine too.Really? The placement of "Slow Motion" in between "The Gash" and "Feeling Yourself Disintegrate" really breaks the fl.ow for me. It's like, the album's getting more and more intense, and then suddenly this lighter track that should have been earlier in the album comes in and throws it all off.
Regardless of how it ends we can all agree that What Is The Light is a very uplifting and beautiful song.
>>53658377sleeping on the roof could have easily been the followup to You Never Give Me Your Money from Abbey Roadthe crickets chirping, the fade in, the overall feeling you're watching the sun set or waiting to go to sleep
