>song ends with fade-out
>song begins with fade in and ends with fade outdisgusting
>song crescendos until the sound is nearly unbearable, then abruptly cuts out
>>53517213>song ends with a fade-out>there are different lyrics as if fades out>the music changes to something different as it fades out
>TFW your favorite album does this on more than one track. It's heartbreaking.
>Song fades up.>Keep turning up the volume so it doesn't.
>>53517230this is the worst part of laughing stock by far, where else does it happen?
>>53517231ruins this album>just to try and watch you, I said I love the way that you smile don't>smile whenever I watch you, I said I love the way that you smile don't
>key modulation at the end of the song because they ran out of ideas
>>53517292Young Team
Bridge isn't a bridge at all.Literally just another part of the song without vocals..
>>53517256Then get ear fucked on the next song...
>>53517213>song
>>53517330>key modulation in a song>it's not just a half step up
>live performance ends with lots of drum rolls and descending guitar runs
>>53517292its the only good part though
why mu hates fade-out?
>>53519066they didn't take the time to compose an endingit's a cop out
>>53519066its lazy song-writingIts like writing a story that ends with the font just getting smaller.
>>53519066None of them have ever made music. Don't worry.
>>53519066They don't.
>song ends with a coda that includes one or more motifs from previous songs played by different instruments/in a different key
>song ends with a fade-out>doesnt even fade all the way out
>>53519066because hivemind
>song starts with feedback
>>53519123stealing this idea
>>53518624>life performance ends with someone striking a huge gong
>thread starts with greentext
>>53519439>clicking on a thread in /mu/
>>53519123brilliant
>>53517230
>>53517222see, i love this when the fade in and fade outs have something to do with the song
>>53519136>I alone truly understand music on this websitelyl
>>53517449>next song fades in>continuously turn volume down so it doesn't
Actually, one exception - I love it when the song fades out, and as part of the same song, a sort of "anti song" that's different fades in, plays briefly, and fades out. MBV does this.
>>53517213jane doe gives me horrible blue balls because of this
>>53517292Good post rock albums
>thread fades out
>>53519534
Brian Wilson is the king of fade outs>tfw the fade out on Don't Talk (Put Your Head On My Shoulder)
>music just ends abruptly every track>sometimes with a loud chord hamfistedly thrown in
>you will never know what those lyrics that begin just as the song is about to fade out completely were
>>53519505yeah, but most of the time the reason they're there is because the artist was too stupid to figure out how to end the song.
>>53520136Search the lyrics online brah
>Song fades out>Fades back in with a final verse or two
>music fades out while new shit is being addedwhy do they fucking do this
>>53520249because the song ended on a jam that ended up sucking
>>53520234>Warpaint - Billy HolidayI enjoy it, though
>>53517292Aphex Twin - that Mt. something song on drukqs
>>53518624ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
you have been visited by the italian dinosaur of Yeegood health and calcium will come to you but only if you respond with "Yee"
>>53520984yee
>intro is just the lead melody of the beat>it loops twice, then the bass and kicks joins in
>>53521238>lead melody of the beat
>>53520984Yee
>>53520136>TFW band performs it live so you can hear all of it.
>Song is called Fade Out>Chorus is "FAAADEEE OUTTT, AGAAAINNNN">Song fades out at the endCan't believe people here actually like these hacks
>>53517292>I LEFT THE HOTEL BEHIND>DON'T WANNA KNOW HOW IT ENDS
>Album has an alternate cut that only adds a pointless crossfade between two songs.
>>53518624>live performance ends with the band members abruptly fucking off, then three minutes of buildup and crowd wank, then the band members run back on stage like it's supposed to be a huge surprise and play two songs that end with four minutes of feedback, cheering and drum fuckery
>>53519586Well Jane Doe fades out after it's packed its final punch. It's way worse when the music starts fading when something special's happening.
>multiple songs on one track
>guitar solos
>>53521691>Go see Swans live.>Show ends.>Gira presents band.>Everyone applauds.>They bow.>Leave stage.>Lights go off.>Crowd starts to leave.>Stand around for five minutes because there's always an encore.>There is no encore.At least I got to shake Gira's hand.
>>53522068Swans plays for like 2 hours straight. You don't need an encore.
>>53522068>band plays>no surprise "encore">plays right up until quitting timeI like that. Earth, Wind and Fire performed with an orchestra, and right up front they said "Thanks for showing up, everybody. We're gonna have a great time, and there's not gonna be an encore cause these guys are professional and they got places to be."Saw the Chili Peppers at Music Midtown and I don't even think the lights went down before they SURPRISE came back on stage and ended with, surprise again, Give It Away. On top of that, they left the stage about fifteen minutes early. Cool.
>>53522172I'm not complaining, it's just that it's so engrained in rock culture that you take them for granted now.
>>53522201sounds like the venue owners screwed up. you pretty much always know by the music, the lights and the bar, even at smaller venues
>>53521762>no guitar solos
>>53521762>drum solos
>>53517230>>53521652We need more reasons as to why Laughing Stock is such mediocre trash
>solos>singing>participating in music theory pyramid scheme
>>53518258is that viper?
>>53517213https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZ1wUqc4X7g good fade-out
>>53522472But it isn't, the cut off in Ascension Day is brilliant, and the original version with After the Flood and Taphead separated from each other is perfect.
>song begins with a fade out>then ends with a fade-in
>>53520984Nee
>>53522881sounds patrician
>>53520234>Can i talk my shit again?
>>53522681Yeah that was good. But it's not the bland regular fade out where the music just goes as it was and gets quieter. this one is creative and it actually sounds good
>song fades out and fades into another part mid song>does this 3 times in one songFuck you, Owen
>>53522881like this?wtf
>Interludes
>>53523219Return of The king is a movie, not a song.
>track fades out into silence>a few seconds left in player>a musically different intro plays>in the last few seconds of the same track
>>53524185Damn I hate this. If it was meant to be listened in sequence, why not just put the intro to the track it belongs to, so it doesn't sound weird when you listen to the album on shuffle?
>>53524185Madvillainy does this, but I actually like it. It just makes the sound transition work fucking amazing. If I recall, it happens going into Accordion or going out of Accordion.
>song fades out>song then fades back in and has a proper ending
>>53523301>not knowing what a decrescendo is>music
>>53520249The Eraser by Thom Yorke is the worst example of this.
>>53522197> music midtownYou from ATL?
>>53524258Honestly, this. I also would have accepted if they pit the intro in a separate track proceeding the previous one.Also>shufflingKek.
>>53517213
>>53524369>not calling it diminuendo>music
>>53523219I love that one though
>>53522681i wish that song faded out at the beginning so i wouldn't have to listen to that garbage
I think fadeouts can work quite okayhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-fOpoLtj7UHere, for example - it's the final track on the album and that ending works so great for a fade out. You could complain that the ending bit is too short, well they made it much longer in the 2004 remix, so that's cool.
>>53519345Peter Steele should make you moist:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXIWRan3XGY(granted this is a less sexy song but still)
>>53522197>getting tickets to RHCPfucking why
