Good morning ladsPastebin: http://pastebin.com/PhhV6eSxHeard anything good recently? What did you like about it?
To kick the thread off, I've been giving Merz's Nezumimochi some more listens lately, the CD bit.Great harsh noise imo. I haven't heard much of his stuff from the recent years but this is solid. A good mix of droning harsh noise along with some rhythm I didn't expect, but added on nicely to Joteishi. Definitely one of his better albums and one you should check out from 2014. I'm looking forward to hearing the vinyl part of it soon enough.
listened to this recently, pretty coolLiked the concept, Deep Sea actually sounds like someone dropped a mic into the ocean and it didn't just pick up a bunch of gluck gluck tick tock soundthen it got rhythmic and I was less into that but that's something atleast
>>53516363alright i'm gonna start listening to noise againlistened a lot ~2 years back but i'm going back in now. what should i grab? ejaculation generater is my favourite noise album after hanatarash 3what abouttorturing nursemacronymphac.c.c.c.

>>53518993those are all good starts to get back into it. Seems that you were into harsh noise from all those artists and albums you've listed so if you don't mind, here are some harsh noise recs for you that I hope you enjoyMaster Control by Blood ov thee ChristDystonia Duos by Joe Panzner & Greg StuartOne Fine Day in the Pyramid by Monokrom>>53519602Yep, and the original art is from this http://www.discogs.com/Rita-El-Lago-De-Los-Muertes-Vivientes/release/516800

So, anyone has heard of Breakdancing Ronald Reagan? I'm friends with him and he is a super nice dude, down to earth guy. I've attended to every show of him. There's some live stuff worth checkinghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJ_JRxCagjwhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmZSkYbS8wwhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Un7zfkSiUcwAlso, he has an album called lulz demon on his bandcamp. It's pretty good actually. Thoughts on him?
>>53521388why are there so many fat guys at noise shows, is that just america?also>implying this isn't you
>>53521653it is him, just report him for advertising and move on before the thread is trashed.
>>53521653>>53521720Oh, I'm not him, just friends with him. He doesn't even like 4chan. He says it's for kids.
>>53521758you should add 4chan quotes into your noise sets, maybe then you would have one original ideaactually that's my idea, but you could pass it off as your own like all your other material
>>53521785But I'm not him haha. He makes amazing noise though.
>>53520648thanks friend, i'll grab those
>>53521388>>53521758>>53521837Fucking fatass, fuck off, your noise sucks. You're a meme at this point.
I plan on getting some more Merzbow and Sutcliffe Jugend albums soon. I'm torn about listening to Bestial Burden. I hear it's a shitty album in terms of noise, but as a standalone release it's meant to be a-okay. I should probably just listen to it and make up my mind.Atm craving old school industrial and power electronics like Club Moral, Sutcliffe Jugend, Grim, Genocide Organ.. the list goes on. Seriously though, this stuff is surprisingly appropriate for the transition between late winter and early spring.
>>53522199noise is always appropriate, really
>>53522250True, true.
What Merzbow albums are his best? His animal rights activist releases? His nihilistic releases? His spiritual and buddhist releases? His most sexually charged and sexually repressive albums?/noise/, which albums do you prefer by him?
>>53522305the one where it goes SHTTCHUUKKettrAKATHAUAAIKEKpüäpAKKAEEEEEEEEEEEEEuzEEEEEEuEEEEEEEsadfpoüSHUUUUUUUUpiopUUUUUUUUUcUUUUUUUuiUUUUUUtrjUUUUUcuoUUUUUUUUUUU3526WUAWUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWUIWAWRUIPAWRUIPAWERUPthat shit is tittte
>>53522422C'mon, man, don't you identify the themes his albums are trying to tackle? If Masami has a certain theme in mind, his sound develops around that and it can certainly produce something rather varied and versatile. I wouldn't say Music For Bondage Performance sounds like Merzzow for example.
>>53522489ya I think it's cool where it goes folrff dolfoloolkxdoldolxdoldold0öedorfpotgprfosed (chopping my keyboard to imitate a beat)
>>53522534The real Hampus would actually discuss sincerely. Man, you're letting down the team!
>>53522608I was actually only accidentally posting as Hampus, just forgot to take it off after funposting
>new Grunt>new Prurient>new John Wiese2015 is looking very good so far.
>>53522305my two personal favorites by him are Amlux & Grand Owl Habitat, I'm a sucker for droning noise.>>53522751nice. Have you heard any of the new Kevin Drumm releases from this year? [...]All Shit Breaks Loose was pretty good.
Bump.
>>53522751>new Gruntlink? love me some grunt. its one of the best things mikko aspa has done and that's saying something.
>>53522199i've had a copy of bestial burden for a few months now and still haven't listened. i saw pharmakon a few days before visiting my hometown (really good live, she also played with marshstepper who were incredible, can't remember the other bands names atm) and i couldn't find my keys so i put my record player under my bed in case someone decided to steal my shit (everything else of value i took with me). i need to stop being lazy and set it up again
>>53525951>i've had a copy of bestial burden for a few months now and still haven't listenednot missing much
>>53522751>new John Wieselink/details?
>>53523491Amlux never gets enough love, I too love that droning noise sound.
Did that blackened noise chart ever get completed?
>>53526923nope, I'm starting to feel I may have to be more forward and ask /metal/ for recs instead of here.>>53526763right? It's what makes me a big fan of Walk With Me by Crumer as well.
>>53527694>ask /metal/I tried, they didn't know much. I'm about halfway through compiling one sourced from your list, the archives, last.fm and rym lists. I should be done in about an hour.
bump
>>53522751And 20,000 new Kevin Drumm releases
>>53527810fair enough; I prefer crowd sourced ones but at this point I'd just wanna see it done.
>>53530510this actually turned out to be completely crowdsourced by searching through the archives, I only used outside services to find the highest rated/most blackened noise-y album when only an artist was suggested.
>>53530635Good to hear my man, thanks for wrapping it up. I'll add it to the pastebin right now.
How much improv is incorporated into a Merzbow album, or any noise album for that matter? I get the feeling that each album was done in a day at the studio. Not that there's anything particularly wrong with that, but are there examples of noise that feels a bit more deliberate?
>>53531707The amout of improv varies gereatly between artists. I dont know the specifics of most artists though
Bump
