I've never had DiMarzio pickups before, what should I expect? It's got D Activator-X and PAF in it.
But in reality I saw these guitars 10 years ago when I was 15, I've always been a Moser fan, but I quit caring as I got older. Then I saw this for sale and it took me back, I bought this 40% for the nostalgia and the fact that as a kid this was my dream guitar and now I can afford to live my nostalgia, and 60% because I know people will FLIP SHIT butthurt that guitars that look like this even exist, and it's funny to me.
I have an LTD M330 with a Floyd rose A B.C. Rich Wave A Squier Hello Kitty Strat A Spector Performer 4 bass
Crate BX-220 bass head Dual Crate PS 115HP speakers Boss Metal Zone Digitech RP-50 Ibanez SM7
Favorite guitarist/musician is Devin Townsend
I play metal (surprise) and I enjoy it. And I have a lot of fun playing it. I don't really play for anyone else, and music snobs crack me up. And my next 10 years of playing? Will be just as much of a blast as the first 10. I love it. |

I don't really know how to word this in black and white, but a lot of it is in the root notes. If you listen to an A aeolian piece, there will be a lot of focus on the A note, with it being the root. It'll kinda focus around an A minor chord and give it a sad sorta feel. C ionian will sound a lot more merry, the focus will be on the C as the root note and the C major chord in the rhythm.
Like i said, its really tricky to explain, since they ARE essentially the same scale, that's why you could switch from A aeolian to C ionian in the same song and that shit'd totally work. it'll be crystal clear once you get an ear for it.
A good example, crazy as it sounds, is Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus. The verse is aeolian, the uplifting chorus is ionian, and while it's technically a key change, it flows because, again, its essentially the same scale. This song's a great example if you wanna hear the contrast between them, too |
