Any Fourth World Magazine fans here? It's really dank hypnagogic new age, sort of like James Ferraro's early stuff. His first album is a concept album based on alien abductions and myths, as well as being inspired by his LSD experiences. His new album (pic related) has more of an r plus seven vibe. It's so fucking good, I just listened and it's the most under-rated vaporwave album of all time. This guy deserves the same amount of praise that Lopatin gets. Here's some links from the archive, they're both worth listening to.

Listened to Pinhead in Fantasia a few days back and have been trying to decode it ever since. It's got such a wide array of disparate influences, it's almost impossible to get a grasp on it. All I've gleaned aside from the Hellraiser and Disney references is that its meant to be some sort of ode to the evolution of non-materiality and the post-human singularity, which got interested in after having a series of dreams in which Pinhead enlightened him on the future of man. But he also mentioned Pinhead dropping by and having dinner with him, so who knows what's really up

Either way, at least it means there's still a possibility for new Skaters material

I lump it in with vaporwave because it evokes nostalgia for a reality that never was/ a cultural dramatization of the idea. Hence the kitschy alien abduction themes and references to old disney movies.
