I don't really even know, it's weird as hell and totally different to the band I fell in love with before.

I really like the guitars, I love the shrill, high pitched riffs that Liturgy do, and the repetition doesn't really bother me. I like the electronic parts of the song too, as someone experimenting with BM + EDM that was always gonna interest me.

The part I'm not that sure about, which actually becomes the focal point of the song rather than blending into the background like before, are the vocals. I do like the chanty interludes he has inbetween songs on the last 2 albums, I'm not sure how well they place in an actual song though. the clean vocals were expected though, seeing as he doesn't perform screams live anymore (which really doesn't sound very good on the older songs IMO).

What do you guys think of the Ocean?
Pic related is definitely my favourite by them, possibly in my top 10 of all time. All of their albums are great though. Heliocentric isn't as good as Anthropocentric, but Pelagial is better than both. It took me a bit to get used to the vocals, but now I'm really enjoying it. I'm seeing them perform Pelagial fully in April, can't wait.

Would you guys listen to bass-heavy black metal with DnB influences and drum patterns? Sort of like Drumcorps but not as erratic, crossed with USBM.
