Can someone recommend just any postrock or posthardcore album that uses violins and kinda has that opera-orchestra feel. Like chiodos - bone palace ballet or the beginning of maybeshewill - i was here for a moment, then i was gone

Les Descrets are Alcest-lite, so they're still good. Lantlos has moments, Toluca if you like screamo (also that split between black bar and Old Soul). Grey Waters and all of those bands by that one Australian dude are pretty great.

The true second best are Astronoid and Cairiss, but neither have a full-length album yet.

The "intellectual" term for classical music

>>52965222
Some of the stuff on this chart, the post-hardcore stuff is Arcane Roots, Fall of Troy etc. Not sure of many that use classical bits like Chiodos though.

>spoken word and field recording used in moderation through song
>repetition of outstanding phrases
>only-vocal parts in hip hop songs
>instrumental crescendo used in moderation
>references to not-so popular things that I am aware of
>outstanding melodic vocal uses in classical music(example: Palestrina - Allegri: Miserere)
>Panda Bear style of singing
>trap rap beats used by outstanding hip hop performers
>outstanding sincerity in voice, even if it makes amateurish impression
>outstanding and original tone color in voice performance

Does anyone remember in a thread where someone liked listening to music that had a women screaming over it it. And not screaming in a avante-garde noise kinda way, I mean screaming like she is about to be killed. I figured this question belonged in this thread.

Yeah I think any band with ambition enough to put classical bits in properly stays well the fuck away form a deadbeat genre like second wave post-hardcore

you might dig one of my songs. It's actually one bar of 7/8 then one bar of 6/8 but it goes into 4/4 aswell.
