comment - Okay /mu/tants, I was here a couple of weeks ago and got a pretty good thread going.
Anyway, to keep it short, Triple J is a radio station in Australia in which every year they host a hottest 100 list of the previous year. This year obviously being 2014. Voting ends tomorrow!
This is probably a once in a lifetime chance to hear some Death Grips and Swans on the radio.
You get 10 votes, so please vote for 'Billy Not Really' and 'Black Quarterback' and whatever else you would like. They have some /mu/core related shit in there like clipping and sun kil moon.
I don't care if you hate triple j or hate top 100 lists, vote for death grips so I can hear them on the radio this january 26th. Thanks cunts

I mean i'll still get drunk with my mates on Aus day and listen to it, and my mates opinions on each artist etc etc.
The whole system is flawed though. Why do some artists (Vance joy etc) get 8-9 songs while others only get 1 or 2 (Future Islands etc). Doesn't that incur some type of biasness?
The voting system seems odd as well, i mean you can add whoever you want, but if they aren't on the actual lists they provide, i doubt it will get high.
This taylor swift argument recently happens every year as well, people don't realise it is one big PR stunt for everyone involved. Fuck, everyone is talking about it, even my parents who don't even listen to the radio. |
