New Swans fan, and I love this album. Whenever I hear tr00 deathcore faggots talk about how brutal something is I want to rec them this. Makes their faggy breakdowns look like a circle of dudes sucking each other off.

i'm comfortable saying i don't like this album. I don't like any of the early Swans work, but others seem to like them and I respect their opinions. Let's all get along and agree on the Swans albums we do like ! Soundtracks for the Blind for example, is amazing <3

Channelling emotions of "Aggression and an unfulfilled life" is certainly edgy and angsty, especially when your album is called "Public castration is a good idea."

There's nothing innately wrong with tryhard edginess, but to be shitting on stupid children (Deathcore kids) when you're essentially listening to conceptually the same thing as them with a different coat of paint is pretty dumb.

I did, you say that channeling aggression in music is tryhard edginess. Which is pretty dumb, anger is just as much of a valid thing to express as any other emotion. I'd agree that the title of this album is definitely meant to provoke, and I'm fine with people taking that as they will, I just disagree with your blanket statement about music that channels anger in general.

It isn't THAT heavy as you guys say it is. Pretty awesome album though.
