Whats are some trends in music that you are personally excited by or looking forward to seeing them develop.
more reverb and slow core in indie.and post punk revival
I'm interested in the growing use of glitch.Love it, and can't wait to actually see good pop albums pull it of nicely.
>>52860822Post rock and emo.The emo revival is kind of dying hard and fast on me. It's starting to hit an overly clean/falsetto reverb-ridden area with acts like Nouns and Alex G.I want to see a bit more musicianship tied in with emo, something I haven't really seen since Penfold or the Moirai.
Looking forward to greater experimentation in hip-hop, hopefully leading to an output to rival the amount of experimental rock. DG, Yeezus, RtJ, and Shabazz are great, but that's not enough

Vaporwave is here to stay, It's only a matter of time before beyonce and taylor swift start sampling betamax commercials
>>52860911>Nouns and Alex G.Those bands are both lo-fi garage influenced and both use a lot of reverb. You want more bands like them? Just seems worded strangely.Check out Pill Friends and Heccra
more use of synths that doesn't sound like thatmore creative drum parts in indie rockvocals as an instrument>>52860859>reverbyeah that's really common already. i don't think it even works well for an average "indie" band.>>52860911>Alex G>emo>reverbbut you're wrong
rap
Vaporwave >>52860977That won't happen
>>52860988>>52860993I see them all the time in emo threads, or used to.I just am not a big fan of that sound.I mean reverb on the vocals.Either way, a bit too much falsetto for me.
I think we're at a good time because a lot of avant-garde stuff is starting to merge with the mainstream, like noise pop and drone metal
>>52861067as soon as something merges with mainstream its automatically everything but avant.garde
