not sure that i have a favorite purely synth pop album from start to finish. i like cut copy a lot, and tesla boy's "spirit of the night" was one of the first synth pop songs that excited me. m83's "kim and jessie" was also one of my favorites.

i liked anoraak a lot early on, along with sally shapiro and chromeo. i'm more likely to like individual synth pop tracks than whole albums. but if i had to pick a full album, it would probably be something by cut copy.

i think the audiences of those shows are more likely to seek out the themes than the newer crowds, presumably due to nostalgia.
