Foo Fighters mainman Dave Grohl recently blamed technology for the decrease of passion among fans, stressing that high tech can never make one happy.
He told Red Bulletin (via Alternative Nation): "People have forgotten what it's like to really rock out because they spend all day in front of a freakin' computer, which they hail as the new God."
He added, "They seriously think technology can make them rich, if they stumble on something new.
"But I'm telling you: technology might make you rich, yet it will never make you happy."
In one of the recent updates, Grohl criticized the critics of "Sonic Highways." He told the Rolling Stone:
"I think maybe people misunderstood the concept and thought that we were going to incorporate all of the different flavors or genres from each city, and, to me, it didn't make any sense because the last thing I want to do is chase something that's not real."
He went on to admit that he had been disappointed by some of the bemused critical response to the record:
"You're like, 'Hey, I've done this thing! F--k, I can't wait for people to hear this! I'm so proud of it. It was such a blast to do.' You get excited and then you realize that people didn't really understand it in the first place. So you're like, 'Aw, f--k it."
