Which one should I get and why?
I'm currently using PortaPros at home and I want to buy my self something a little better.

Or if anyone has a better recommendation from the $50-$100 price range.

my pair of v6 is 15 years old and, if anything, sounds better than when I got it. I think anything past this price point is entering diminishing returns.

it's dumb to say this, but you really can't go wrong with any /mu/ recommended cans, but since you have to ask you'd probably better get the sonys

I have v6s but never really tried anything else thats worth its price.

I guess figure out which one caters to what is most important to you. v6s have a pretty flat frequency response, and thats what made me go for em

I've had both, and I think if you're looking for a deeper, more lush or colourful sound you're better off with the V6s

I'm more of a beats fan myself. but it is really objectively the best headset.

I love my SR80i's. Not sure about the sr60's but they should be quite similar.
Beware that they are open and totally unusable outside though.
