52434824 No.52434824 [Reply] [Original]

shall we make this the official /mu/core?
i see loads of '/mu/core' charts and they're mostly completely wrong

>> No.52434870

>>52434824
I like it a lot actually but I'm sure other /mu/tants want to inject their opinions forcefully.

>> No.52434914

I see pink floyd discussed a lot more than king crimson

>> No.52434928

>>52434870
its not a matter of opinion tho, those are the fucking entry-level albums to /mu/

>> No.52434950

>>52434914
lurk more, also king crimson has always been on the chart and i see no point in changing

>> No.52434977

ITCOTCK is good but never discussed.
Same with Remain In Light.

I'd move to replace them with The Money Store and Sunbather.

>remain in light
the past months i've seen a shitload of love for it, while sunbather gets a shitload of hate

>> No.52435027

>>52434977
When I came to /mu/ like 3 months ago there were a lot of threads about RIL.

>> No.52435057

>>52434824
can really isnt discussed that much, same with talking heads but maybe a bit more. Also i feel like mpp should be replaced by stgstv, its talked about more. But yeah i can agree with this in general, definitely some of the most talked about albums on /mu/. MHTRTC should be there as well i think, and maybe even a Nick Drake album. Those are two artists that are regularly talked about and generally approved of on /mu/ frequently

>> No.52435164

>>52435057
>can really isnt discussed that much
i think Tago Mago is more discussed
>mpp should be replaced by stgstv, its talked about more.
agreed
>MHTRTC
maaybe, I think aphex has the right to be chosen above BoC, not sure which album though
>Nick Drake
haven't seen much talk about it lately, but I think Pink Moon used to be considered /mu/core

>> No.52435182

I can't recall the last time someone brought up Future Days on this board. In fact that whole chart is probably someone's desperate attempt at making that one album more relevant in /mu/ discussions.

>> No.52435184

>>52435057
>MHTRTC
i totally see that too, could go on can's place
>nick drake
that would be sub-/mu/core imo
>mpp vs sgtstv
i chose mpp because of the shitstorm we had upon its release, also because its been on all previous charts
>reamain in light
thats neo-/mu/core, get with the times grandpa

so should i just replace Can with BoC?
what about MPP? its been on all previous charts, and its a tad more accessible than spirit

>> No.52435340

>>52435263
I'd just replace Future Days with Tago Mago.
MPP is aight, but it's true that STGSTV is more popular now.
I think American Football doesn't deserve the place, that just might be bias though
