Hey guys! I figured I'd start a thread dedicated to our cans.
>what headphones do you use?
>do you use an amp?
>if so, which?
I've personally got a pair of pic relateds, and I'm looking for a good amp and DAC. Anyone have any suggestions?

Why don't you go to /g/? Is the shitposting too intimidating?

I'm using the HD 598 I just received from the black friday sale.

i have those too, OP, and from what i've read they don't really need an amp? not quite positive, though

Be warned, there is _a lot_ of shitposting in that thread (and on the entirety of /g/). You need to lurk for at least like a week to know what to ignore.

That said, I'm looking at upgrading my SRH440s to Momentums, you like them?

Love them, had them a couple years now, and I don't have any complaints; maybe a LITTLE weak in the bass.
Also, the chords seem to break easily. Other than that, great cans

I'm thinking of getting new cans. Budget is around 500$ in all so headphones/amps/dacs and all that. I really don't know shit about headphones and I'm currently using meme50's handed down to me by my brother.

I listen to your typical /mu/ shit I guess (Indie, Pop, Glitch, Meal, Post-Hardcore, Punk, Hardcore, ambient)

high five, i have these and they're great

since this is a headphone thread i thought i'd ask, do any of you guys get a sort of unpleasant burning sensation in your ear canals after listening to music for a while? for me even after only one album my ears start to hurt. i really don't understand why, i don't listen to music that loudly and i always take at least a 20 minute break after a session of music listening. maybe i just have really sensitive ears?

The reason you think you're not listening to it very loudly is because your hearing is severely damaged.

Go to an audio convention and listen to different amps.
