people gonna hate on me for this, but you know how you kind of just lose interest in some music you liked when you were younger over time, I don't like the term 'outgrew' because a lot of it is still good I just don't care for it. some music stays with you and some doesn't, for example I used to love David Bowie when I was teen and now the only album of his I ever listen to anymore is Station to Station.

well when I first got deep into music at around 14 how did I find my first bands? just googling best bands lol and reading articles, well that exposed me to Radiohead (especially Kid A and Ok Computer) very early on, and I liked them.

well now they are just played out to me, it just sounds like boring teen core, I dont think they are bad but it blows my mind how overrated they are, they are not that interesting, Radiohead should not be /mu/core, its even less interesting then the obvious bait choice chvrches

If I had the choice between paying fifty bucks to listen to a song of theirs or paying fifty bucks not to listen to a song of theirs I would easily pick the latter.

It doesn't really matter what tastes you have, as long as you critically evaluate/fully embrace and appreciate the works which you claim to like.

Mucore is nice in that it provides a pretty eclectic base from which one can get into other things. Some people may just orbit around those works in a circlejerk, but just like in the OP's picture, the community is worth more to them than the actual music. Such is life.

Is King Crimson not on here because of some preference by anonymous, or because there's been campaigns to take it off /mu/core? I'm not saying this because I want to vote for, hell, I feel like it's an album that regardless of if you like Prog rock or not, it's still around for a goddamn reason.

I voted for Godspeed Black Emperor, but I don't get why we have to have two Radiohead albums in /mu/ core other than the fact that if we moved one to sub-/mu/ core, one of two camps would be butthurt.

The Chrvches circlejerks aren't arguably as bad as the Kanye/NMH/Godspeed threads though, since those are usually created with the sole intent of deriding said artists discography.
