>>50949202http://vocaroo.com/i/s18hDXkI4p7ymy first time experimenting with electronic music.
>>50949348Good but give the impression you were reading something. The out of tune guitar made it charming.
>>50949202sleepy cover of perfume genius http://vocaroo.com/i/s14uFueAkzfk
>>50949427Sweet lullabyHold the guitar next time
>>50949462you have a beautiful voice, wish i could sing like that
>>50949443Interesting, I have that song memorized
last time i contributed to a vocaroo thread someone said my voice reminded him of elliott smith so here goeshttp://vocaroo.com/i/s1a1VGqK0YnXdidnt know how to end it so it goes on longer than it should and i have some tempo trouble
http://vocaroo.com/i/s1t6m0Q6x3A3"Bled White" by Elliott Smith>>50949347Ha! Totally weird but cool. I like that low, warped effect your voice has.>>50949348Nice. Zentropy is one of my favorites this year, so it's cool to hear a male vocal rendition. Next time post the link as a standalone (without text immediately next to it) so that it embeds on 4Chan.>>50949427Awesome chord progression and a charming little melody. Love the glassy sound of the piano. Wouldn't necessarily call this electronic music, but I can see what you mean.>>50949462Oooh this is sleepy! You've got a pleasant, delicate voice. Play some more.
>>50949611That is impressive, really. It almost makes one think you just played guitar to a Elliott vocal track. If you're fine being associated with him it should work fine but if not, I'm sure it can be trained away.
>>50949611Hey a fellow Elliott fan. Good timing, haha, right before I posted mine. You've def got the wispy, "spiderweb-thin" vocals that makes Elliott so special. I will say you should watch your chords during the chorus bit - "People you've been before that you don't want around anymore" - it has different chords than what you were playing. Otherwise, nicely done.
>>50949687Thanks. It's a fun exercise, the voice just is.I enjoy how mellow and frail your voice is. It's very comforting listening to.You don't happen to have any oc?
http://vocaroo.com/i/s11tFKwBZJmVThis is my attempt at oceangrunge.
>>50949837http://vocaroo.com/i/s1YBEHkICgPw

>>50949825I appreciate the kind words. I have a few songs written, some of which I'm working on with a simple set-up band - guitar, bass, drums. The band version is in a different key and I'm singing in an octave higher. Louder and with more energy. Here's one:http://vocaroo.com/i/s1cYdaIXH7Dw>>50949837It's a silly name, but I do dig this ambient music. Reminds me of Gas, but without the bass. What do you use to make this music? I'm thinking about producing some ambient/drone myself.>>50949867Like a male Grouper! Nice! I will say I like when you vocalize syllables (the "ahhs" you were doing in the first half) better than when you form actual words. Just seems to fit the mood better, imo. Are you the same person as the poster you linked to?>>50950025Funky twing twangs, man.
>>50950003Would you be willing to work on it? We need more oceangrungers to grow the genre.
here is an original guitar piecehttp://vocaroo.com/i/s1uQZfTC6yowcame up with it like 5 years ago but i still jam to it

Fuckin around with this folk song.http://vocaroo.com/i/s1WDUutx3VUAAlso, here's an original I've been working on. Kinda gets a little uh, abrasive.http://vocaroo.com/i/s1KeOaDucll6
>>50950370It's close, but needs a better transition into the mellowness.
>>50950187Those vocals are awesome. You are reminding me of magnetic fields but younger and brighter. If you got a place where you'll put your tunes, post it.
okay another onehttp://vocaroo.com/i/s1iZcbEP7U01basically a Frankenstein hendrix riff that i turned into a jam
>>50949687this is lovely. seconding the request for OCcan't record anymore as housemates are in bed, but here's another sleepy cover from a while back: http://vocaroo.com/i/s1dFG3N7YXvA

>>50951392Now, either remove the voices or distort them to resemble being caught in a hurricane.
>>50950379Vocals on the folk needs more strength.Didn't fit quite well, still very nice voice you got there.First part on the second could had gone on for a while longer, making the following part even better.Great oc ideas.
>>50951455Hard to do when it's glued to it's skin.http://vocaroo.com/i/s061yY08abFx
>>50950379You totally pull off the true American folk singer with that one. You put expression and emotions into your voice, that's refreshing.>>50950435Oh my gosh what a compliment! Magnetic Fields are a major source of inspiration for me, not even stylistically, but as musicians and a band as a whole. Here, have a cover of Epitaph For My Heart featuring my dog.http://vocaroo.com/i/s0Gz4PTByPiw>>50950502That guitar tone is fat and warm. Dig it!>>50950518I like how dainty yet playful it sounds, like a mobile above a baby's crib. Nice work, m8.>>50950802Solo guitar that isn't American Primitivism. I like this a lot! It's lusty.>>50951060Wow. Wonderful and intimate. Sweet falsetto, too, man.
>>50951537Thanks for the feedback. Current living situation makes me have to keep my voice down a bit, so that might weaken my vocals a bit, but I get you.
>>50951880I think you should just remove the voices unless you plan to make another version of Buyer's Market.
I tossed together a Paranoid Android cover real quick so I can take part of this, Hey everyone;http://vocaroo.com/i/s0IdCMslVM96>>50951880sweet power electronics opener, RIP my ears>>50951212Did you loop them together with a pedal or on your cpu? >>50952333mmmm man.I felt itReminded me Jai Paul maaan
>>50952373ty sadly it doesnt match the rest of my EP :(
>>50952219Interesting to hear a baritone vocal instead of Thom's usual falsetto. Gets a little wild with the pitch here and there, but the jammy parts sound great. Good rhythm and strumming on ya.>>50952265Can oceangrunge be made with a guitar and vocals only? If so, any examples? I just think the name is a little forced and way too similar to seapunk. But that thread that's going right now with all the links is pretty impressive.
>>50952333Do you have a bandcamp??

>>50952333Slick!
>>50952333Shit, this track is bangin! I love how it emerges from that underwater sound back up to the surface (although I don't think it should happen so much during the track, maybe once more besides the intro). Tight, yo. Make more music like this.>>50952348I haven't listened to Death In June before but it's about time I get started. Just previewed the track. Give me 10 minutes to get it down and I'll post a cover of it. Stick around!>>50952519Hm okay I'll take a listen and see if it's something that interests me.

>>50952891Don't associate my stuff with that please lol
>>50952826Haven't heard this one.It was alright, neither on the spectrum.>>50952911That was excellent. Couldn't have done it better myself. I wholeheartedly recommend the wall of sacrifice wish is the origin of the song.Just be prepared for an actual wall.
